The bar is the heart of the pub and acts not only as the place to enjoy a welcoming drink, but also as reception for the accommodation and an unofficial tourist information point!
As a member of CAMRA, Mark was determined to introduce a variety of real ales into the pub. Traditionally the pub has a strong cask ale following with Tetley Bitter being the most popular seller.
In March we introduced a second handpull onto the bar and have since sold a range of real ales from around the country, this has proved popular with both locals and visitors alike. We display the ales available and are always willing to listen to requests from customers for a particular brew to be bought in.
This is not just a real ale pub though, we also stock a range of lagers, ciders and spirits. There are a selection of Malt Whiskeys from Janices’ homeland if you wish to try a wee dram. We have also introduced a Wine List from which you may select a Wine of your choice to drink by the glass or the bottle.
